This project involved the radioactive remediation, abatement and demolition of a 600,000 square foot former paper mill. The work was performed under a Brownfield Cleanup Agreement with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Removal, segregation, reduction and management of approximately 20,000 tons of radioactive impacted material.
Pre-demolition surveys and all project permitting and documentation.
Demolition of multiple structures consisting of mostly cast-in-place concrete and masonry construction ranging from one to six stories in height.
Below-grade demolition of all concrete slabs, foundation walls and equipment pedestals.
Processing and recycling of over 70,000 tons of concrete and masonry materials crushed to a dimension of 2-inch minus and stockpiled for re-use as structural fill material.
Removal and disposal of all asbestos and hazardous materials.
